Since April 1, 2026, bicycle reservations have been mandatory to guarantee a spot on the bike racks. It’s simple, quick, and ensures a stress-free journey.
Good to know:
- The reservation is linked to your entire journey.
- It guarantees your place on board.
- In the event of high demand, reserved spaces are given priority.
Bike reservation
A reservation is mandatory when travelling with a bicycle.
Cost: CHF 2.– per reservation.
The reservation must be made at the same time as purchasing your ticket, via the SBB website or app.
Without reservation
Boarding is only possible if space is available.
Passengers with a reservation are given priority.
Good to know
For a smooth journey:
• Book in advance, especially during the summer season
• Check availability for special equipment (bikes, groups, etc.)
• Arrive a few minutes early to make boarding easier
