Ticket Machine

Ticket Machines are available at all TMR and RegionAlps stations. They allow you to buy tickets quickly by following a few simple steps on the touch screen. You can pay in cash or by credit card.

Ticket Types

On board, several types of ticket are accepted for your journeys:

  • Route ticket: for one journey, single or return, depending on the type of ticket chosen (depending on the customer group)
  • Day pass: unlimited travel for one day within the area of validity of the GA travelcard
  • Route season ticket: unlimited use on the route in question
  • General season ticket (GA travelcard): unlimited use of the network
  • Swiss Travel Pass: for tourists, unlimited access to Swiss public transport.
  • VIP PASS (lines 12.251, 12.252, 12.253, 12.241, 12.242)
  • PASS ST BERNARD (lines 12.210, 12.271, 12.272, 12. 273)
  • Transport facilities for families/young people (Junior card, Petits enfants card, Seven 25) and for foreign travellers (Swiss Pass, Swiss Youth Pass, Swiss Flexi Pass, Swiss Transfer ticket, Swiss Card)

How does an e-ticket work?

An e-ticket is an electronic ticket that you can buy online or via a mobile application. Once purchased, the ticket is stored on your device and does not need to be printed. All you have to do is present the ticket directly from your smartphone at ticket control points. It is important that the E-ticket is valid before boarding.

E-tickets and travel authorisations are personal. They are only valid with an official identity document or a SwissPass. Make sure you can prove your identity.

If you buy your E-Ticket via the electronic timetable, it is generally only valid from the corresponding departure time according to the timetable.

For international journeys, tickets can be purchased online via the www.cff.ch website, the SBB app, at all stations equipped with the CASA sales system or at TMR ticket machines.

Bikes


Limited number of seats. No reservations possible.
Bicycles pay for a half-fare travel ticket, up to the price of the day pass.
TMR day pass: CHF 10. national day ticket: CHF 15.00.
If the train is replaced by a bus, bicycles are not permitted.

Dog

For dogs of any size travelling in passenger compartments or luggage vans, a 2nd class half-fare ticket or the applicable minimum fare (dog day pass, dog passport) is required. Dogs must be placed under your seat so as not to obstruct other passengers.

Exception: small dogs up to 30 cm at the withers, carried in a cage, basket or other suitable container placed under your seat, may travel free of charge as hand luggage. However, if the dog is removed from its container, a ticket is required.

Reservations are required for 8 people or more at a sales outlet or by telephone 027 721 68 40.
